The Adventure Park

A destination nature-based adventure playground in the southern Perth suburb of Kwinana.

The Adventure Park is a major new regional play and recreational facility built on the Calista Oval public open space in the City of Kwinana.
JBA worked as the lead Landscape Architect in conjunction with Melbourne-based Jeavons Landscape Architects to deliver a universally accessible and all-inclusive adventure playground. JBA’s innovative design approach to adventure and water playground design is reflected in the number of bespoke elements evoking the character of Kwinana. Over 500 existing trees on the site have been retained to provide natural shade, habitat and a unique backdrop for a tree themed project. JBA also acted as the Project Manager working with Environmental Industries during construction.
