Landscape upgrades of a high-profile modernist tower in the Perth CBD
QV1 is an iconic 43 level office building in the Perth CBD, designed by internationally renowned architect Harry Seidler & Associates.
JBA was engaged to deliver a concept planting scheme, detailed design and specification for the Northern Upper and Lower Plaza, Southern Plaza and Lobby, as well as tender coordination and superintendence for project construction.
The Northern Plaza works include the rectification of issues with an existing water feature and the redesign and superintendence of soft landscaping. Biophilic themed designs have been prepared for the internal lobby areas. The Southern Plaza scope includes soft landscape and irrigation design, as well as transplanting of advanced trees.
The project has required detailed analysis of site restrictions, surrounding built form and microclimate, as well as JBA’s experience in podium level planting and irrigation design.
